Fergus and Raine (Petraits
attached) are extremely gentle brother / sister, one-year-old, 35-pound,
crystal blue-eyed, white Australian Shepherds looking for loving homes.
While these two adore each other and would love to live together, they would
also do well together or separated in homes with other dogs with whom they
can model their behavior after. They are very shy, playful, wiggly, loving,
snugly and docile. They love to play with their toys, and also enjoy being
mellow lap dogs.
Since these dogs were born deaf, here’s a web site to learn more about
how to train deaf dogs: http://www.deafdogs.org/training/
They can learn to follow hand signals, and rely on their sight and smell more
heavily.
Fergus and Raine are crate-trained, housebroken, and great with other dogs.
Prior to coming to Project Rescue Chicago, these country bumpkins had never been
on leash before, so they are very tentative and resistant but learning. They
are very quiet in the home, and would love a fenced-in yard to run and play.
They are healthy, spayed/neutered, de-wormed, up-to-date on vaccines,
micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on preventative.
To meet and possibly adopt Raine and/or Fergus please complete an adoption
application at http://www.projectrescuechicago.org/adoption-application/
You can follow up on your application and ask additional questions by
