After loosing our first deaf dog Allie to cancer earlier this year we knew we needed to bring another deafie into our lives. After talking to the wonderful woman that runs Hobo Care Boxer Rescue and letting her know we had lost Allie to cancer she called the next day to let us know about a little deaf boy she had at the rescue. We took our other dog Sadie (hearing Pointer) to meet Hefe (aka Beauregard) and they immediately started playing and acting as if they had always known each other. Hefe was adopted from Hobo Care Boxer Rescue in May 2008. As hard as it was loosing our little deaf girl Allie we knew there was a reason why she was called to the bridge. Allie taught us so much and Hefe has fit right in with our family and is continuing in Allie's paw prints by teaching us more and more about deaf dogs everyday.
