Henry

Santa Cruz County, California. Henry was picked up on the side of a freeway at approximately 8 weeks by someone who took him to the fire department, who wrapped him up and took him to the vet. It happened to be our vet. He was very sick and stinky with a prolapsed rectum, but our vet saved his life and then kept him, determining that he was deaf, she taught him sign language. He had a heck of a start to life. The highway he was found by is south of here, in Monterey County, and our vet suspects a backyard breeder.

We adopted "Henry Keller" from our veterinarian when he was a year old. He had been brought back by his previous mom who loved him for sure, but she was unable to keep him. We had never had a Dalmatian before, or a deaf dog, or a male dog. What a challenge! And one that we would not trade back for anything. Henry has changed our lives, and he LOVES his life!
