Syd was born on a farm in Nebraska. His first family was concerned about him surviving there because of the dangerous machinery. After he was stepped on by a donkey, they gave him to a shelter. He was a day away from being put down when he was rescued by a group in Colorado. Luckily, this group believed this little guy deserved a chance at life! His foster mom did a lot of research and found ColoradoDeaf.com where she placed a story about this loving, sweet, friendly puppy who needed a home. I read the story and I had a very strong feeling that he needed to be a part of our family. I called my husband who agreed immediately. We went through a strict screening process and finally were able to meet Syd. He has been with us for 16 months and all 3 of us have enjoyed every moment!
